"I never stopped thinking I would find him," the 59-year-old father said, squeezing his son's arm during a packed news conference Tuesday.

Salman Khan is a natural-born teacher, who left a job as a hedge fund analyst in Boston three years ago. His Khan Academy now has 1000+ videos on YouTube covering everything from basic arithmetic and algebra to differential equations, physics, chemistry, biology and high finance -- all of which were recorded by the affable Khan.

It started as an online tutoring session for his cousin to help her gain pre-algebra admission, and led to a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to the mission of providing a high quality education to anyone, anywhere.

U.S. Unveils $2.2 Billion Great Lakes Fix

lake-huron.jpgThe Obama administration has developed a five-year blueprint for rescuing the Great Lakes, a sprawling ecosystem plagued by toxic contamination and invasive species. The plan envisions spending more than $2.2 billion (U.S.) for long-awaited repairs after a century of damage to the lakes, which hold 20 percent of the world's fresh water.

"We're committed to creating a new standard of care that will leave the Great Lakes better for the next generation," Lisa Jackson, head of the Environmental Protection Agency said in a statement.
