This story, of a man going out of his way to alert homeowners to a fire that had started in their home, is a perfect example of what can happen if you listen to your inner voice and act on it. Driving along a highway and spotting a fire, you might argue that the people MUST have already known about it -- and neighbors called officials-- but, in this case the onlooker detoured to the home honking his horn until residents finally awoke around 5:30 a.m. (WHDH Boston) |

A Florida reporter was asked to do a story each day in December featuring one of the citizens who gave money to a holiday fund that presented toys to needy kids. The people's donations totaled $97,000 and their generosity, often in the name of a lost loved one, made one reporter pause for a good cry.
