An abandoned baseball field in the midst of a tough neighborhood, Compton, CA, inspired one man to build a team and coach the kids from L.A.’s mean streets. He provides a group — not a gang — to which they can belong, and teaches the kids self esteem along the way.
One more thing, the man is homeless and sleeps in his car.
