He has served as team manager for the Thunderbirds and all the players and fans love his spirit.

On the last game of the regular season, the coach told Mitchell to suit up.

Just wearing a jersey was enough for Mitchell, but secretly the coach planned to let him play with the team at the end of the game, no matter what the score.

They didn’t end up winning the game but the surprise outcome led to an explosion of cheering and support — from both teams.
