Tahmina Kohistani’s Olympics lasted just 14 seconds.
The 23-year-old student from Kabul University in Afghanistan is the only female athlete from that nation to compete in the 2012 Olympic Games.
Her 100-meter sprint, in a preliminary event, was the end of an eight-year journey through war, tribulation and suffering.
