Barenaked Ladies singer Ed Robertson and three others walked away from a plane crash Sunday afternoon in southeastern Ontario, police said Monday. Robertson's Cessna 206 float plane crashed into a wooded area and the group hiked back to civilization.

As the crowd roared and his team exulted in its gold medals, the coach of the U.S. men's volleyball team buried his head in his hands. Spurred on by the murder of his father-in-law in Beijing, the U.S. team had gone on to win 8 in a row.

Fifteen of the most popular female artists, including Mariah Carey, Rihanna, Beyonce and Miley Cyrus, are joining voices to record the song "Just Stand Up" to raise money for cancer research.

A cast that includes Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Fergie, Sheryl Crow, Miley Cyrus, Melissa Etheridge, Ashanti, Natasha Bedingfield, Keyshia Cole, Ciara, Leona Lewis, LeAnn Rimes, and Carrie Underwood -- have joined together for "Just Stand Up," an unprecedented charity single in support of Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), a new initiative to raise philanthropic dollars for accelerating ground-breaking cancer research.
