Her mother and father struggled with drugs and alcohol, resulting in Meredith and her two younger siblings being taken from them, and split apart from each other.

After running away from their abusive foster home and eventually moving into a different home, the two youngest were seemingly lost to their sister forever. In a bureaucratic mistake, Meredith was not allowed any contact with them.

Meredith finally won her 15-year battle, overcoming a wall of bureaucratic indifference, to make her fairy tale come true.

With all the negativity in sports these days (i.e. Michael Vick, steroids, exorbitant contracts, etc.) I'm glad to see GNN come out with a sports section to report all of the good things that are happening in the world of sports.  Great for kids and adults to view the good side of sport celebrities. I love GNN.  It starts my day off in a great frame of mind.
