Princess in carriage - StillBrave event WUSA-9An 8-year-old girl with brain cancer found herself surrounded by a flashmob of love yesterday and it’s all thanks to a man who lost his daughter to the disease.

His name is “Tattoo Tom” Mitchell and he became Tara Sankner’s Prince Charming for a day, directing almost a thousand people to come line the streets and chant the name of their Princess Tara.

The girl confided to Tom that her dream was to be a princess, and when he came to her house with horse-drawn white carriage, and plexi-glass slippers for her feet, she embraced the role, and waved to her subjects along the police-lined street in Chantilly, Virginia.

Tom’s new childhood cancer foundation, Stillbrave, is all about making dreams come true, helping families and kids who are battling cancer.

“I have to say…this was one of the most AMAZING example of community!” Tom wrote on Facebook. “I personally have known Tammy and Tara, and since the diagnosis, I have been thinking to myself, ‘how can I take this pain away from this family?'”

“Today, I think we did. There were hundreds of people lining the street like a giant cancer blockade.”
