Yesterday I was feeling so drained by the mainstream media that I did a search for GOOD NEWS and here I am. Thank you sooooo much. I really needed a place to go. This is now my homepage. I am somewhere near the bottom of our precious globe. I am lucky to live in a comparatively peaceful and laid-back part of the world with an advantage over most of you guys up there by being a day ahead! But the news still is 75% depressing so it’s great to have this positive news site of yours, Geri. Being particularly despondent one day, I put “Good Newsâ€ï into Google and got 1.8 billion hits. What is even better, I picked you, Geri, out of that lot! That must be good. Thank you and keep up the hard work. I݃ƒ¢¬â„¢ll see that the word is spread around. |

Thank you for doing this. It is nice to have a break from the daily pounding of negative news. I especially liked the story about a malaria cure from allergy meds. It makes the head spin to contemplate what other simple remedies there may be to serious diseases. |

I recently had the privilege to hear and see His Holiness the Dalai Lama speak at the University of Buffalo he spoke to such incredible truth about compassion, warm heartedness, and unconditional love. He also addressed over 30,000 in a football stadium as just another person spreading the “GOOD NEWSâ€ï about peace and human compassion. He inspired me to search for the good news and indeed I have found it, your stories are warm hearted and fill me with hope every day, Thank You so very much! |

I recognise that news is a publicly traded commodity and exists to make maximum profits for the shareholders. So we are bombarded daily with the most evil, hellish violence that exists and the media will do it's best to sensationalise the stories even further to increase ratings and profits. I don't watch news on tv, listen to the radio, read the newspaper, but my homepage is Yahoo and after reading the headlines today it just made me sick. So I googled good news" and found this site. I'm too new at using the computer to take on helping you with your idea for a positive re-do of the s----happen bumper stickers, other than to tell you about a bumper sticker I've had till it's worn off with age which said MIRACLES HAPPEN ! Hello Geri. I am so glad I found your site. It was recommended to me by Rebecca Fine at SOGR. You are doing a great job and so is everyone who is contributing. Can you imagine all the positive energy we are putting out there? It is very exciting. And positive. And just what we need. So to counter all the negative energy flowing around in the workplace I will be posting the the flyer for this site in the kitchens at work, if only one of my 400 coworkers visits it will be well worth it. My reason is simple. I work at a Not for Profit that goes into some of the poorest, war ravaged and hideous situations all over the world to help people. A lot of the field people need this kind of positive resource or they will become hardened or burnt out. Thank you so much for doing |

This site is so important in moving journalism in a more positive and inspiring direction. I print off stories from this site to inspire my third-grade students (they loved the lady who collected cans for the community pool). I wish you the best of luck in the future of GNN! |

Actually a lot of what's being reported by the corporate media is filtered and manipulated, so I am fascinated by uncovering and comprehending the truth. However, the blocking out of the will of the people, as well as anything that expresses or pretains to the finer and higher potentials of our spiritual and creative nature has left me wondering whatever has happened us cultural creatives, creators of the post oil renaissnce. Now that I'm finally 65, I've been wondering whether I'm the only one who still marches to the tune of a different drummer. Though I've lived in Sedona, AZ for over 18 years now, the status quo seems to be growing rather than the reniassance of cultural creatives. As I recall, at the cosmic convergence around 20 years ago, Sedona was overflowing with cosmologically inspired seekers. So come on back, we need you! Regardless, I really am an eternal optimist! I never forget that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder", and Sedona has so much beauty to behold! And perhaps it is darkest before the dawn. This is an excellent site. I believe there is more good happening in the world than bad. We are inundated with so much negativity and horendous images that some have lost hope. Ever the optimist, I decided to google good news because I new that someone had dedicated a site to promulgating those good and decent acts. I'm inspired to share with all my friends. This is such a breath of fresh air after going to cnn.com for so long. I can't tell you how great it feels to hear about all the GOOD things that are happening as opposed to all the bad. There should be a good news network tv show or something; we're all exposed to WAY too much bad news in the media and we should by all means promote this endeavor by spreading it to different mediums. All who are involved with Goodnews are awesome; we need more people like them. |

I heard you on WSJS talk radio in Winston-Salem last week. I about died when I heard you mention Wesley Autrey. He is my hero.
