“Happy Guangdong” is the new slogan for the Five-Year Plan, launched by Wang Yang, secretary of the Communist Party in the wealthy Guangdong province.

Officials there likely recognized that economic development at the cost of dirty water and air, does not lead to a higher quality of life. Designated as two of its top goals: green development and “harmonious sharing”.
