Within minutes after the tornado, and for hours and days and weeks and months afterward, people showed up for 81-year-old Albert Ferrell and his wife.
The volunteer emergency workers and neighbors who pulled the Ferrells out of the rubble were first to help, but an army of people, many of them strangers, came afterward to their address in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
This week Albert threw a party at his house that just over 11 months ago was nothing but rubble on top of his head.
