Sculptor Turns Fallen Katrina Trees into Seaside Monuments (Video)

katrina-tree-sculptures.jpgAlong the Mississippi gulf coast where Katrina blasted the city of Biloxi taking out century-old shade trees, a sculpture is turning them into monuments to the resilience of the people who survived the hurricane and are still recovering.

For a year now, wood sculptor Marlin Miller’s chain saw has breathed life into the fallen trees forming remarkable sculptures that include a sea horse, osprey, dolphin and eagle.
