A couple dozen Cub Scouts were facing a bleak camping season after someone stole their gear from a church parking lot.
But when actor-filmmaker Tyler Perry (Madea's Family Reunion) heard the news about the Cub Scout Pack loss, he gave the Atlanta-area scouts a check for $10,000 to cover the loss.
The Scouts were overwhelmed by the generosity, both of Perry himself, who is from Atlanta, and other Atlantans, who have been contacting the pack through its website offering help.
