The little film that could, Slumdog Millionaire, took home 8 Oscars including best director and best picture at the 81st annual Academy Awards last night. Sean Penn was named best actor for his portrayal of Harvey Milk, and Kate Winslet was awarded best actress for her role in The Reader.
