Meet The Zimmers, the oldest rock group in the world. Lead singer Alf is 90 and anchors this amazing cover of The Who’s My Generation, already viewed 2 million times on YouTube. Documentary filmmaker Tim Samuels traveled across Britain recruiting isolated and lonely old people from dingy flats and care homes bringing them together for a rock and roll recording session at Abby Road Studios. The story was featured in a BBC-TV documentary in May and on Power to the People, the TV show that started it all. You can buy the CD from Tescos, Woolworths, HAV and Virgin Megastores or buy it online at Amazon-UK. (Click READ MORE for a brilliant video interview with Alf.)

  1. Hi, as a man in his 60s, I have to work hard every day, not to engage in self-limiting thoughts along the lines of ” I am too old to do that”. The truth is that if we had the idea to do something and are even remotely capable of doing it, you have a shot. Those that have an idea and actually do something are way ahead of those we think would be more qualified to do it, yet don’t do it. Rent Rocky Balboa if you haven;t seen it yet, it brings out the point that no matter who we are and what age we are, we always have one more shot left in us. If you would like a free list of uplifting, motivating movies, email me and will send you my 19 page tool kit, that has tons of peak performance information. It even lists free sources of motivational material such as this one, so you know it is good. Thanks, Ed Smith [email protected].
