The Lesson: Being a woman has been a challenge throughout history. The inequalities between genders compelled many women step into their own power and fight for their own rights – but in the words of Gloria Steinem, the leader of the American feminist movement, we are all unique and we all deserve to express what we are and to experience who we are without any boundary or limitation. We are not separate from each other; we are interconnected and each of us represents an important piece of the big puzzle called Life.

Notable Excerpt: “What the road does is to force you to live in the present. There is just an infinite amount of learning and it’s in the moment, it forces you to live in the moment. Religion is politics in the sky. […] Spirituality is in everything in all living things. We assume that the masculine controls the feminine, and of course, there is no masculine or feminine – there is human, but we set a pattern that says it’s okay for one group to control another.

“If we start ranking each other in the family, we think it is natural, we think it is cultural, we think that there is no other way and there is another way. The old languages, most of the ones I know, do not even have gender pronouns, they do not have he or she, they don’t have a concept of race, they don’t have a word for nature, because we are not separate from nature, it is all one. The power of the government needs to stop at our skins, male or female. You know there is a boundary here.”
