The Nashville, Tennessee-based non-profit Stop Hunger Now, created in 2006, has packaged more than 50 million meals and sent them to hungry populations around the world. Their goal is to send 1.1 million meals to people who need them this year.
Even though Nashville may be “Worlds Apart” from the people in need, Gill was quick to explain “The Reason Why” he and other volunteers were willing to volunteer.
“You see a lot of these people around here trying to help their fellow man– and doing what a lot of us should be doing to help our fellow man,” Gill told WKRN News.
