She worked in TV news in D.C. for 10 years before leaving to raise a family in 1990. Geri’s combination of artistry, quality news, and personal service has gained her tens of thousands of fans from around the world. Here are a few reasons why people like the Good News Network:

NEWS THAT CHANGES LIVES
“I quit watching the news on TV in the morning. I prefer reading the news on your website. Why start the day with negative information when you can start it with positive information! It really has improved my attitude towards everyday life. I’m in a good mood after reading the news on your website everyday. There’s so much good in this world.” – Jennifer Wahl

NEWS THAT REFLECTS OUR VALUES
“Thank you for writing your newsletter, Some Good News.I enjoyed reading the positive stories… I am heartened by the goodness and generosity that I see in people… Keep up your good work.” -Former Secretary of State, Gen. Colin Powell

NEWS THAT HELPS WITH DEPRESSION
“When the war in Iraq started, I went into a depression state. I felt constantly worried and agitated and it was hard to enjoy doing things I loved to do. Then I found your site. It lifted my spirits and helped get me out of the funk I was in. Now I’m going to school and enjoying the things I like to do. Whenever I feel depressed I visit your site.” – Cambry V.

NEWS TO ENTHUSE
“When I get to work in the morning, I get my coffee, jump online and read the news. Every day I went home sad and depressed. Then I found your site and after reading the first story I immediately felt my spirits lift. I never went home sad again.Reading ordinary news gives us a sense that ‘that’s all there is’, but your site reminds us that there is more and the world is not as bad as the news would lead us to believe. Thank you for everything.” – Sean Nolan, New Zealand

FAQs

Are you a non-profit? No. We are not. One of our business goals from the start was to prove that good news sells. We engage in commerce to show that good news has value and people want it enough to sit through an advert or support it financially.

Is the site free? Yes. All our good news is free. We have special bonus gifts for members that will periodically be updated, but all the website content is free.

Are you hiring? No, not at this time.

How can I make Good News Network my homepage? Instructions depend on which browser you use to surf the internet. Here are some instructions at About.com.
