    “The D.C. Council wants to encourage more people to ride bikes in the city by requiring new buildings to have more bike parking. The council adopted legislation Tuesday that requires all new apartment and condo complexes to include one bike space for every three units. Commercial property owners have to make sure that at least 5 percent of vehicle parking spaces are set aside for bikes.”
