All people should want the truth about election results to be known. That’s why Jimmy Carter, one of our greatest ex-presidents, focuses on election transparency and fairness around the world. In a country that says it has open and free elections, it is important that they be held to that standard or exposed for their fraud. Truth matters.

I published an essay by a young woman in Tehran a few days before the election in which she exclaims her hope and idealism and love (of freedom!)… Reading that viewpoint makes me yearn for her goals to be met, for to be maintained in her city.
