In a recent study, adolescents who began school one hour later performed better on cognitive tests than those who started earlier, suggesting that getting more sleep allows adolescents to have better cognitive performance.

  1. Teens need around 9 hours of sleep a night. It’s very hard for them to get this (with their busy lives, early school start, homework, etc) but this is what their developing bodies and minds need in order for them to function at their best.
