The Lesson: Back to school season is upon us, and it can be very overwhelming after a long summer of switching off – luckily, these two experienced young women have some wisdom for female college students. Together, they talk listeners through their best advice for striking a good work-life balance right on time for the start of the school year, as well as some tips for students regarding studying, note-taking methods, and easy ways to get out in front of it this September.

Notable Excerpt: “As I get older, I notice it more and more […] I love to sleep but I’ve been going to bed earlier too so it goes hand in hand. Freshman year, I had the worst sleep schedule, I would go to bed at 2 am and wake up at 10… when you wake up at 10 o’clock or later you just don’t have a day. The morning hours are so important and I’m not saying to wake up at 5, that’s unnecessary. […] I just recommend getting up maybe an hour or a little bit before, for example today […] when you have a 9:30 class, instead of pushing it and being like ‘I could probably sleep until 8:45’ – don’t do that. Wake up at 8 give yourself that extra time. Make your coffee, and get ready at a leisurely pace so you’re not stressed.”
