Every parent is excited to see their child take their first steps – but this doting dad had a special reason for being so elated when his daughter stood up for the first time.
A milestone for any youngster, it was especially exciting in Lawree’s case because she was born with a deformed leg and doctors warned that she may never be able to walk.

Lawrence Bakana and his 1-year-old daughter Lawree had been at their home in Buffalo, New York when last month she stood to her feet.
Elated by her accomplishment, Lawrence pulled out his phone and started filming. When little Lawree then began taking tentative steps towards her father, he could not contain his excitement.
