George Lucas 2009 - by nicolas genin-CCGeorge Lucas is ensuring that the force may be with young Jedis everywhere.

The “Star Wars” director will donate the $4.05 billion he will receive from the sale of Lucasfilm Ltd. to Disney to a foundation focused on education.

On Tuesday, the Walt Disney Company announced it had paid the huge sum to acquire Lucasfilm Ltd., which produced “Star Wars” and is 100 percent owned by George Lucas himself.

The Good Samaritan wrote, “You do not know me but I saw that you needed some tires for your truck and I wanted to do something nice for a stranger because one day a stranger did something nice for me. The receipt is in the envelope and all you have to do is go by Warehouse Tire on 3rd Street and ask for Steven Hodges and they will be put on for free.”

The note ended: “All I ask is that one day you do something nice for a complete stranger.”

That’s when he heard But then he heard a cry for help from the darkened parking lot nearby.

He found three women clutching onto the back of a SUV, one trying to hold above the water a kennel with several small dogs.

The 25-year-old father was in his family’s Upper East Side apartment on Monday night when he looked out the window and saw an SUV taxi lifted by the powerful force of water beneath it.

Candelaria, who is a waiter in New York City, went to save the driver who was nearly drowning. The water was up to Candelaria’s chest, but he managed to pry open the door, with the driver’s help, just in time.

The funds will be added to a total of $35 million already donated by early Friday morning according to the American Red Cross. “The public has been generous,” a spokesperson said.

The Walt Disney Company announced Thursday it will donate $2 million to relief efforts, splitting it into two parts — $1 million for immediate relief and $1 million for rebuilding. Its foundation will also match, dollar for dollar, all donations made by employees.
