A 15 year-old boy was laying his beloved dog to rest in the backyard with his step-father when fate intervened and the pair leapt to rescue another dog who was locked in a burning house.
Dillon Hayes of Boiling Springs, South Carolia, said they broke in the house and found the dog, while the neighbors were away.

OMG is all I can say.. Bless the young man and his dad. I must admit I cried harder near the end out of my own grief after hearing the family cat didn’t make it out. Tragically, this past Sept. 22 2012, my apartment caught fire while I was out with family for dinner. In my home was my cat Joey. Joey never made it out and the loss was painful to bear. He was my family and seeing this story just brought it all back in vivid detail. Thanks to quick thinking on the parts of this boy and his step dad all was not lost however. A big HOORAY to all. This was a feel good story, yet, a sad one all in one. Thank you.
