Lalita Booth dropped out of school and turned to drugs after being abused as a teenager, but turned her life around after enrolling in a community college, and then becoming an honors student at a four-year university. Now, she’s in the process of earning a Master’s degree in business and public policy from Harvard University, financing her own education through 20 scholarships totaling more than half a million dollars.
