For some people, finding out that they’re going to be a parent is the most exciting moment of their lives – for others, maybe not so much.
Ulla the 1-year-old cat, for instance, did not seem so jazzed. In fact, she seemed downright mortified.
Ulla’s animal caretakers at the Dyrenes Venner animal shelter in Nuuk, Greenland could not contain their amusement when they saw the young feline’s reaction to the pregnancy earlier this month.
The staff had taken her in for an ultrasound because they thought she was getting a little chubby. When they scanned her tummy, however, they did not find anything wrong, per se – just four to five unborn kittens.

Ulla glanced at the screen only to turn and look at shelter board member Tone Frank with a look that very clearly said: “Are you kitten me?!”
Frank later posted photos of the young feline’s hilarious (and relatable) reaction to the announcement on Reddit earlier this month. The caption simply read: “When you find out you’re pregnant…”
Frank told TODAY that readers should not be too concerned about Ulla’s predicament, as she has already been adopted into a loving home and the kittens will be up for adoption once they are old enough to be welcomed into loving homes.
And as a means of preventing any unplanned pregnancies, Ulla and her kittens will be spayed.
