All three have agreed to designate 13 Monarch butterfly preserves as part of a new “Trilateral Monarch Butterfly Sister Protected Area Network.” . . .

Monarch butterflies migrate from Eastern Canada all the way down to fir forests in Mexico’s Sierra Madre mountains through eucalyptus groves in Southern California. Preserving these critical waystations for the beautiful butterflies demonstrates a practical commitment to the environment.
