Costco-receipt-for-firefighters

Some Northern California firefighters were surprised by a $123 anonymous gift after they dashed out of a Costco store, called to respond to an emergency.

They abandoned a cart filled with potato salad, steak, corn and  watermelon — all the ingredients for a Memorial Day cookout.

When they returned, they found the bill for the groceries had been paid, and a note left on the receipt. “Thanks for being there for us.” It was signed, Air Force Wife.

The Vacaville Firefighters Association Local 3501 posted a photo of the receipt on their Facebook page.
