In recent months, Baghdad residents from science, engineering and tech backgrounds have been meeting regularly to participate in Iraq’s first “hackerspace.”

The idea meetings are intended to promote collaborative innovation, entrepreneurship — and potentially solutions to some of the problems facing the country.
