Sony logoSony, a global leader in electronics, has announced its success in achieving a whopping 31 percent reduction in CO2 emissions worldwide, surpassing by a whopping 24 percent the company’s 7 percent target set in 2006.

As a part of Sony’s ‘Green Management’ goals formulated in 2006 to protect the environment, the company has also managed to surpass other goals: to reduce waste generation by 40 percent (they hit 54 percent), and to reduce water consumption by 20 percent (usage is down 41 percent).

The statistics were announced and confirmed by a third-party analyst.
