Daniel Lybrink has spent 33 loyal years working for a McDonald’s restaurant – so on Monday, in honor of his contagiously cheerful personality, the special employee was given a surprise retirement party.

Daniel, who has Down syndrome, has been working for the golden arches in Howell, Michigan since 1984 as a lobby manager.

A neighboring branch in Brighton hosted the party joined by friends, family, guests, and employees. Everyone was encouraged to sign a memory album, so he could be reminded of all of his acquaintances in his golden years.

According to WHMI, Daniel will be moving to Lake Michigan with his roommates to kick back, relax, and roll in his retirement with his favorite outdoor activities.
