While some people may scoff over social media and internet games, this 90-year-old woman is crediting Words With Friends for saving her life.
Every morning without fail, Miyoko Saiki uses her tablet to play Words With Friends with her son, who lives in another city, before he has to leave for work. In addition to it being a fun family activity, Saiki says the game keeps her mind sharp.
Recently, however, Saiki’s son logged onto the game’s app only to find that she was not online.
When he was unable to get a hold of her, the anxious family went to her house and found her unconscious on the floor.

She was later taken to the hospital and treated for pneumonia and dehydration.
Thankfully, Saiki is now in ship-shape and ready to celebrate her birthday next week – and she says that it is all thanks to her devotion to Words With Friends.
