A Czech power firm is to build what it says will be Europe's largest onshore wind farm, in a 1.1 billion-euro project. Construction of the wind farm will start in September and it is due to begin operating in 2009. (Full story at BBC) Read More Add Comment (0)

Scientists say they have taken a big step towards blocking a chemical vital to the growth of many cancers, an enzyme which, when active, helps keep cells in an "immortal" state. A Norwegian jumper survived a spine-chilling crash from a mile-high mountain. Hans Lange struggled to straighten out his parachute before slamming into a rock wall and crashing into a tree top. He survived with a broken leg. (Fox News has the story ) Add Comment (1)
